Lots of things
can happen in a day. Imagine the things that could happen in approximately 2
weeks of vacation. Holidays are the only "free" times we can have in
the world and so, people take time and invest hard core to have perfect moments
and keep the Holiday cheer going with their loved ones especially after long
months of unforgiving, restless, and stressful work and school works!

At last!!!! Christmas! the season
where I can go all out with my family and my best friends. Woah! Christmas
won't be Christmas without Christmas Eve, and Christmas won't be Christmas
without celebrating the birth of Jesus. So together with my sister, I spent the
hours from 2:00 PM until 9:35 PM of Christmas Eve serving the Lord. I am a part
of our church's multimedia ministry team and I am one of the team leaders,
since we have a special worship service that evening, it is already considered
as one of the church's events so we need people to take charge and update our
church's social media accounts to inform the people about the happenings that
night.
But dear, oh, dear! I got sick again but still pursued
to continue, leaving me asleep at 12:00 AM on my cold and comfy Christmas bed.
The day after--- December 25, CHRISTMAS DAY! I felt sad and left out because I
slept during Noche Buena all because of my sickness AGAIN.
Days
passed before my eyes and little did I know that tomorrow will be a new year
for everyone. All because of the school works that I thought were over, had to
be finished during our time of rest. A week wasn't enough to finish them all so
days passed by so fast as I worked on the things that needed to be done. Even
though I am still not through with my take home holiday school works, I see to
it that I must enjoy my vacation for it is my free time so when my mom went
home--- fresh from my best friend's abode one night, she told us that my best
friend's family is going to Laguna on January 1st to celebrate the New Year and
to get rid of all the negativities and have a fresh new year by taking a dip in
the hot spring and we will tag along too since my best friend's family and I
are considered as one. So we went to Laguna and voila! We had fun and just like
magic, it seems like all the free time I spent working on things that I should
not work on were payed for by our Laguna trip! The hot water, together with the
fishes and red pebbles helped giving me a brand new year with a refreshed mind
and body. Truly, sicknesses does not pick time to attack,
whether it be during the holidays or not, but the best thing I learned is
anything bad that happened in the past cannot stop you from writing your future
unless you hand it over your pen. Nature has been a big part of my new year and
our family too. Who knew that a hot spring in Laguna containing red pebbles and
fishes that eat your dead skin cells will make me feel better and will make out
my own version of another "best new year ever!"?
